KERNSERVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — The suspect in a hit-and-run that led to the suspect vehicle being found submerged in Belews Creek has been taken into custody, according to jail records.
The suspect, Logan Michael Milstead, was taken into custody on Sunday and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Milstead had been wanted since Aug. 21 after a warrant for his arrest was taken out on the following charges:
- two counts of hit-and-run — injury
- alter, steal or destroy criminal evidence
- obstructing justice
- hit-and-run — leave scene with property damage
- failure to report an accident
- drive/allow motor vehicle without registration
- expired registration card/tag
- give/lend/borrow license plate
- driving while license is revoked — impaired revocation
- no liability insurance
- unintentional littering — 10 to 500 pounds
- failure to yield — left turn
- driving left of center

On Aug. 17 around 1:40 p.m., officers with the Kernersville Police Department responded to the 700 block of Piney Grove Road when they were told about a hit-and-run.
