(WGHP) — We’ll have two more hot days and then our temperatures will fall back to normal.
Friday will be hot and humid. Under mostly to partly sunny skies, morning temperatures will be in the low 70s with highs in the upper 90s. Our heat index will be in the low 100s. We will be watching the radar on Friday afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms in Virginia will have a chance to move into the Piedmont. Chance of rain 20%. If the thunderstorms are able to make it into the region, a few storms could produce damaging wind gusts.
On Saturday, a cold front will move across the Piedmont. We will begin the day with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will increase and scattered thunderstorms will form.
