ELON, N.C. (WGHP) — A deal is a deal. That’s the way Elon University School of Law Dean Zak Kramer saw it after making a pact with the class of 2025.
Earlier in the semester, he promised that if the law students as a class achieved an overall 85% first-time bar passage rate, he’d get a tattoo.

The motivation of branding Kramer used apparently worked as the class blew past the goal, posting a 90.9% overall first-time passage rate among graduates taking the bar in North Carolina and 11 other states.
In North Carolina, the class achieved a 91.96% first-time passage rate.
Kramer got an Elon Law-themed “1 & Done” tattoo on his left forearm on Sept. 4 as a tribute to the students’ focus on passing the bar on the first attempt…
