HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A pair of Triad 14-year-olds are facing over 120 charges related to a series of break-ins and thefts, according to the High Point Police Department.
Investigators took a 14-year-old suspect from Lexington and a 14-year-old suspect from Greensboro into custody in connection with dozens of vehicle thefts as well as break-ins.

The teens are being charged by juvenile petition and their cases are being handled by juvenile court services.
The juvenile suspects are facing 126 charges in total; those charges are:
- 42 counts of felony conspiracy
- 36 counts of breaking and entering motor vehicle
- 31 counts of larceny of motor vehicle
- 12 counts of possession of stolen motor vehicle
- One count of injury to real property
- One count of breaking and entering to commit larceny
- One count of felony larceny
- One count of hit-and-run
- One count of misdemeanor conspiracy
“I am proud of our officers for the time they spent connecting the dots across more than 50 cases and arresting the people responsible,” said Chief Curtis Cheeks III. “It’s frustrating to know teenagers are behind these crimes. They should be focused on going to school, playing sports and learning new hobbies, not committing crimes and disrupting our community. We will continue to do everything we can as a police department to keep the city safe, which includes outreach efforts focused on children. But we can’t do it alone. Teenagers need continued support and investment from families, mentors and coaches so a single bad decision doesn’t define the rest of their lives.”…
