Summer isn’t finished just yet, but a significant change in the weather pattern is taking shape for Rowan, Davie, Davidson and Cabarrus counties next week.
Temperatures will remain firmly in late-summer territory through Monday, with highs reaching the upper 80s across the region. By Wednesday, some locations may struggle to get out of the 60s.
Before the cooler air arrives, however, we’ll have to get through a period of showers and thunderstorms that could bring locally heavy rainfall to portions of the region.
