Family, friends search for missing Greensboro mother

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — It’s been 10 days since the mother of five kids, Marissa Carmichael, disappeared in Greensboro.

Friends and family are not giving up.

She was last seen wearing a white Tweety bird shirt, blue jeans and yellow sneakers at the Exxon gas station on East Market Street.

Her family told Greensboro officers that she went to the gas station after leaving a nightclub.

At the Exxon, she called 911 and told dispatchers that she had been robbed.

Since then, no one has heard from her.

Friends and family went out Tuesday again searching for any clues in her disappearance.

“I barely get any sleep,” said Marissa’s friend Jamie Lipford.

For 10 days, Lipford hasn’t stopped looking for her friend Carmichael who disappeared on Jan. 14.

The two worked together, laughed together and supported each other.

“She’s very sweet. She’s loving. She’ll give you a shirt off her back … She’s always been there for somebody that’s going through a lot,” Lipford said.

Lipford spends her free time putting up flyers with Carmichael’s photo.
