GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The Greensboro Police Department is searching for the suspect vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a High Point man on Sunday morning.
At around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Greensboro police, the Greensboro Fire Department and Guilford County EMS came to the area of Guilford College Road and Hornaday Road after a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
At the scene, officials found Matthew Davis, 41, of High Point, dead in the roadway.

Investigators say that the vehicle that fatally struck Davis did not remain at the scene. It is described as a small and dark passenger car.
The GPD’s Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and assumed investigative responsibility.
