JAMESTOWN, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been charged in connection to a hit-and-run crash in Jamestown that left a man severely injured.
Troopers say Zonte Pittman, 52, of High Point, was hit by a car in front of Flowers Baking Company on West Main Street Wednesday night.

His sister Shamora Batts said that is where he works, and he was on his lunch break walking to this 7/11 store when he was hit by a car.
“This guy just got hit by a car. I don’t know what to do. He’s not moving. It was a hit-and-run. It’s Flowers Baking Co. of Jamestown,” a 911 caller said.
A 911 caller found Pittman on the side of Main Street near Penny Road right in front of the place he worked.
“A lot of unanswered questions. Why? Even if you did and didn’t know … People want to know when they hit something. You can’t say you didn’t … Why didn’t you stop?” Batts said.
Pittman’s family wants answers.
On Saturday, Ryan D’Ron Vaneaton was arrested for felony hit-and-run, according to warrants.
