GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman accused of firing a gun inside the Spectrum Corporate Office in Greensboro has been sentenced, Assistant District Attorney Christopher Parrish confirmed Monday.
On Monday, Jazzlyn Ingram pleaded guilty to felony discharging weapon into occupied property and second-degree kidnapping. She received a sentence of four months in prison and 30 months of supervised parole.
On June 8, 2023, Greensboro police responded to a report of an active shooter at the Spectrum office on Regional Road just before 11:30 a.m., sending all available resources.
Police say she shot into a locked door and entered the building. Once inside, she fired gunshots and demanded the location of an employee. No one was injured.
Both Jazzlyn Ingram and her husband, Richard Ingram, were charged in connection with the incident.
