GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman died after being thrown from an SUV during a rollover crash in Greensboro on Saturday, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.
Around 7 p.m., Greensboro police, Greensboro firefighters and Guilford County EMS workers responded to a rollover crash with injuries at Benjamin Parkway at Josephine Boyd Street.
Desiree Emma Brooks, 43 of Greensboro, was driving a white 2002 Toyota 4Runner east on Benjamin Parkway. A 42-year-old man was also riding in the Toyota.
Another vehicle was going west on Benjamin Parkway and tried to make a left turn onto Josephine Boyd Street.
The two vehicles crashed in the intersection, and the 4Runner overturned.
Brooks was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the SUV. She died at the scene.
The man in the Toyota with her was left with minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
