GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – FOX8 is getting a first look inside the new Peck Expeditionary Learning School for kindergarten through eighth grade students.
It’s a project that’s been a couple years in the making. By this time next year, hundreds of students will fill the halls.
Take a look at the progress crews have made so far.
“Just very unique construction to go with a really unique building,” said April Larkins, project executive.
Crews are hard at work outside and inside the buildings to create a first of its kind campus for Guilford County Schools.
“This building will house all of the gyms, the media center locker rooms for the new facilities, distributed dining,” said Larkins. “It’s going to be a really fun space. This is where all the children, both K through 8, will come in to have their extracurricular activities. Each of the different grade levels will be in that individual building.”
The structure is up, the roofing is complete and some of the bricks are already in place.
