Reidsville shelter sends 58 pets on a flight of hope, going to other shelters in large rescue effort

REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Cats and dogs boarded a plane in search of a new home. The Rockingham County Animal Shelter said it offered a second chance for 58 dogs and cats in total. On March 24, organizers put the animals in an airplane. They sent them to three of the largest rescues in the northeastern United States: Massachusetts SPCA, New Hampshire Humane Society, and Connecticut Humane Society.
