Woman charged with first-degree murder in Reidsville homicide investigation

REIDSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is being charged with first-degree murder for a 2022 homicide, according to the Reidsville Police Department.

A press release from RPD states that on Aug. 4, 2022, they arrived at the 400 block of South Washington Avenue to investigate the death of Candace Lauren Turner, 36.

Man charged with statutory rape of a child in Randolph County

The cause of death was later determined to be homicide.

RPD has charged Fatima Zakirah Ali, 30, with first-degree murder for the homicide.

She is currently incarcerated in New Jersey and will be taken back to Rockingham County to face the charges.

RPD says this is an ongoing investigation.
