Historic Greensboro mansion up for sale

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — One of Greensboro’s historic homes is for sale. The Julian Price Mansion is ready for its new owners.

The previous owners, Eric and Michael Fuko-Rizo, spent eight years resorting the mansion to its former glory. Now they are ready for their next project.

$5.25 million is the price tag for the Hillside Mansion. Kay Chesnutt, the listing agent, said that’s the right price tag for as much work as Eric and Michael put into the home.

“It was in disrepair,” Chesnutt said.

The Julian Price House was in bad shape when Eric and Michael took ownership in 2016.

“It was always a sad sight to ride past it,” Chesnutt said.

After eight years of repairs and renovations, the couple breathed new life into the home. Now they’re ready to open the door for someone else.

“Michael and Eric did a really wonderful job of … restoring it with its historical integrity and also modernizing what needs to be modernized,” said Kathryn McDowell with Preservation Greensboro. “The kitchen is a great example of modern fixes with historical integrity still intact.”
