WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Adefamation lawsuit against Winston-Salem’s police chief is being dismissed. Tuesday in court, Winston-Salem Police Department Chief William Penn was represented by his attorney, Michael Grace. The woman accusing him of defamation and emotional distress, Quamekia Shavers, represented herself in what became an emotional hearing at times.
