WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A unique project is in the works to acquire several units and create anaffordable housing co-op in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem. Housing Justice Now, a local advocacy group, says a recent decision at the City Council meeting in its favor could make this happen. The resolution was passed, meaning loan forgiveness on one property could pave the path for similar units to be constructed around the city.
