Man charged with indecent liberties in Alamance County after helping child run away from home, documents say

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been arrested for his alleged crimes with a minor, Alamance County court documents say.

Taevon Odell Thomas, 24, of Greensboro, was arrested by the Burlington Police Department on Saturday and charged with one count of felony indecent liberties with a child and one count of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Documents state that around March, Thomas attempted to take indecent liberties with a minor under the age of 16 at the time. He is also being accused of encouraging the minor to run away from home without her mother’s permission.

Thomas was taken to the Lee County Jail and issued a $50,000 bond.
