Temperatures in 70s, 80s expected in Piedmont Triad next week

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — High pressure will keep us cool and dry to start the week with temperatures well below normal.

Highs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be near 80 with lows in the 50’s.

Clouds will be moving in by Thursday with highs dropping into the mid-70s and lows rising into the low 60s.

The National Hurricane Center is watching an area of interest in the Gulf of Mexico that could strengthen and make landfall in Texas or Louisiana as a Tropical Storm or even a Hurricane by Thursday, then move north.

It is still too far out to determine the path of that system if and when it does make landfall, but it could affect our weather by next weekend. Until then, the weather will be very pleasant.
