High of 82 on a sunny Tuesday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — High pressure will keep our skies mostly sunny for today, and highs are going to return to normal for one day.

The UV index today will be 7 out of 11, and highs are going to be in the lower-80s.

Scattered clouds move in overnight with lows in the mid-50s.

Francine will be moving inland along the LA coastline tomorrow midday, and though we will see some high, thin clouds cross our skies, there is very little if any rain from Francine in the forecast.

With that, we will have partly cloudy skies on Wednesday with highs near 80°.

Cloudy skies take over Thursday, and we’re keeping clouds in place through Sunday.  Though we aren’t getting rain Thursday, light showers are expected Friday through Sunday.  Rainfall totals won’t be terribly impressive, only topping out around 1/4″ as a New England high keeps dry air pumped down the East Coast.

As for temperatures, highs will be between 76° and 78° all four days.

There is a big improvement on the way for Monday, as we get partly cloudy skies back in the forecast.  Highs will be near 80° Monday afternoon.
