ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The Asheboro Police Department responded to a report of a barricaded subject on Friday morning.
The SWAT team, Asheboro officers and specialized units were at the scene on Regency Drive.

Regency Drive was closed for an extended time, but the person was taken into custody a few hours after the standoff began. There is no word yet on why the person was barricaded or if they were wanted in any law enforcement investigation.
