HIGH POINT — What a difference a year has made for Tyler Lombardo.
A year ago this month, Lombardo was in training for a job at the new High Point location of A Special Blend, a nonprofit coffee shop that employs intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. The 39-year-old High Point man had not been able to maintain a steady job in nearly a decade, though, so he understandably had reservations about working at A Special Blend.
