PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A cold front dropped to our south overnight, and we will have cooler, dry air settling in for a couple of days.
It’s going to be a beautiful day, with sunny skies and near-normal temperatures. Highs will top out in the mid-60s this afternoon. Overnight, lows will dip into the mid-30s under mostly clear skies.
On Wednesday afternoon, don’t be surprised if you see some high, thin clouds seeping across our skies from the west. Though these clouds hint at some wet weather on the way, the day will be cool and dry. Highs will be in the mid-50s.
A cold front slides into the Eastern U.S. on Thursday, ushering in highs in the upper-40s here in the Piedmont along with a steady rain. Showers will bring between 1/2″ and 3/4″ of rain to area rain gauges. It’s going to be a perfect day for warm soup and a good book!
The rest of the forecast for the next seven days looks good! Highs return to the lower-60s on Friday, then climb to the mid- to upper-60s Saturday through Monday. All four days, the weather stays dry and skies will range from sunny to partly cloudy.
