(WGHP) — A beautiful fall evening across the Piedmont Triad with temperatures falling into the low 50s after 7 pm. Skies remain clear this evening and overnight which will allow temperatures to drop significantly.
We’ll wake up Wednesday morning with temperatures in the mid 30s and sunny skies. Mostly sunny skies remain into the afternoon but temperatures will also be even cooler with highs in the mid 50s.
Clouds roll in Wednesday night into Thursday morning followed by increasing rain chances through the early morning hours. Widespread rain is expected throughout the day Thursday which will keep temperatures cold all day long. Rainfall totals look to be near an inch in some spots. This is our first significant rainfall in nearly a month and a half!
If you think the mid 50s is cold… Thursday is going to bring a shock to your system! We’ll start the day in the low 40s and afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 40s. It’s also going to be breezy with east-northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph which means it’ll feel even colder than the actual temperatures.
