GREENSBORO, N.C. – An 84-year-old woman was hit and killed by a driver just a few days before Thanksgiving. The Greensboro Police Department said a driver hit Mary Edwards, 84, of Greensboro, Monday night as she was walking on West Wendover Avenue. Police said Edwards died that evening as a result of the injuries she sustained in the collision.
