Continental Club on South Elm- Look at that Fabulous Lighting

The above photo is of the Continental Club at 816 South Elm Street, just south of Gate City Boulevard. This historic building is so beautiful not only by day, but also at night. It transforms from a white, plain-looking building to this elegant spark of color. Formerly, the building was the North State Milling Company, and industrial site with hints of a Southern States store. It is the building with the Daily Bread Flour sign on the side. The building dates to the early 20th century, possibly 1912.
