A few light snow showers possible Monday night in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Our cold weather continues as we head into the upcoming week. Temperatures will be in the low 40s this evening with partly cloudy skies but overnight clouds will clear out leaving us with mostly clear skies into Monday morning and temperatures in the mid-20s. Winds will continue to be breezy though which will have our temperatures feeling like the 10s in some spots.

Mostly sunny skies on Monday with northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph and gusts of 25 mph possible. The wind will make it feel a little colder than our actual temperatures. We’ll see highs in the low 40s but it’ll feel like the 30s most of the day.

Monday night snow lovers MAY be in for a little treat. A few snow showers look possible between 8 PM and 2 AM. The chance is low, only 20%, and it won’t be enough to cause any issues. If we do see snow showers they’ll likely be brief and light. If you’re traveling Monday night just be sure to watch for slick spots mainly on bridges/overpasses.

Temperatures drop into the low 20s on Tuesday morning with northwest winds remaining between 5 to 15 mph. The feels like temperatures will be in the 10s Tuesday morning so be sure to bundle up in your warmest winter coat! Afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the low 40s with sunny skies. Tuesday afternoon feels-like temperatures will be in the mid-30s.
