ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A former employee of a Piedmont Triad sheriff’s office pleaded guilty to multiple counts of assault last month.
According to the assistant clerk of Rockingham County superior court, Marcus Shane Bullins pleaded guilty to six counts of assault on a female on Nov. 27. Two counts of sexual battery were subsequently dismissed.
He was sentenced to a 45 day suspended sentence and supervised probation for 18 months. He was also ordered to have no contact with a witness in the case and is not allowed to travel out of the state unless it’s for work and he has prior approval.
Bullins was charged by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office in February and subsequently fired by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, where he was a captain and field operation commander.
