GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro Mayor Pro-Tem Yvonne Johnson was honored with a horse-drawn funeral procession at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Johnson died the morning of Dec. 4 at 82, surrounded by her family. In a statement, her family said they were proud of her for everything she accomplished.
According to her daughter, Lisa Johnson-Tonkins, Johnson had very specific instructions regarding the arrangements for her homegoing celebration, including her desire to be transported by a horse-drawn carriage to her funeral service.

The funeral service will be held at Bennett College Chapel at 1 p.m.
