Stokesdale man wins $545,885 off $1 lottery ticket

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — David Webb, of Stokesdale, played a digital instant game on Tuesday and won a $545,885 jackpot, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.

Webb played a $1 ticket and won the top-level epic jackpot in the Wheel of Bonuses game, which is a digital instant game featuring a progressive jackpot that can be won at any time.

The odds of that win are 1 in 31 million.

He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $390,308.
