Greensboro Salvation Army receives $5 million from Bezos Families Fund

The Salvation Army of Greensboro (SAoG) in North Carolina has received a five-year, $5 million grant from the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund, FOX8 WGHP reports. Established in 2018, the Day 1 Families Fund aims to support nonprofits working to help families experiencing homelessness. According to WGHP, an annual allocation of $1 million will be used to expand the Pathway to Success program, which assists 30 families in need per year. SAoG has been serving the Greensboro community since 1904.
