WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A family is desperate to find their loved one after he went missing on Sunday.
Kim Whitehurst, 69, of Winston-Salem, has been reported as a high-risk missing person, His family says this is because he is in the early stages of what they believe to be dementia.
His family continues their efforts along with the police.
He is 6’2 and weighs 180 pounds. His family is desperate to find him because he’s a father and grandfather and has been a Christian leader for over 30 years.
Police released video from Kim’s home on Forsyth Court as he left.
Lieutenant Barry Martin says taking note of the details of Kim could help them bring him home.
As the cooler weather continues, his family becomes more concerned.
“It’s hard to imagine someone being out here and having to deal with these conditions when we were out here for hours … It was so cold yesterday,” Kim’s daughter Sarah Whitehurst said.
His family reported him missing on Sunday after his son Sam Whitehurst couldn’t find him in his apartment when he dropped off food.
