GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG and the Peabody Park Preservation Committee, will hold a controlled burn of the Piedmont Prairie Restoration Area at noon on Thursday. The Preservation Committee said setting fire to the restoration area in a controlled manner clears out invasive species and helps native plants to thrive. The last burn happened in 2022.
