‘Devasting’: Greensboro mother speaks out after son’s body found in pond

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Two days after investigators pulled 26-year-old Laequan Little’s body from a pond at a Greensboro apartment complex, his mother spoke with FOX8 for the first time.

Tamika Little says her son Laequan was on the way to pick up his daughter on New Year’s Eve the day she reported him missing to Greensboro police.

“There was never a time that he did not call me. If I called him, and he missed my call, my son would call me back. That’s what made me worried when I called him, and he didn’t call back,” Tamika said. “He would give his last to anybody. He was a great father. He loved his daughter to death. Would do anything for her. Didn’t want to be without her.”…
