Upon being sworn into his first term in Congress, U.S. Rep. Brad Knott struck a new milestone in his family’s long tradition of service.
With him to mark the occasion was his grandfather, J.T. Knott Jr., a 99-year-old WWII veteran and lifelong North Carolinian.
“It is a real privilege to have my grandfather here in Washington and a memory I will treasure,” said Knott, who represents North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District. “From being wounded by the Nazis in World War II, serving in multiple capacities – both elected and privately – for decades in North Carolina, his deep commitment to his faith, church, the betterment of others around him, and his family all serve as a tremendous example and blessing for me personally. He, in many ways, embodies the very best of this country’s principles. I am thrilled he could make it to the House of Representatives to see the 119th Congress swear in.”…
