DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Danville residents now have a new transportation option with the launch of the Danville–Triad Connector, a bus route that links the city to Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Reidsville. The service, which operates twice daily, was developed in collaboration with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) after a survey revealed high demand for these destinations.
Hart Evans, NCDOT’s statewide planning and programming manager, said, “One of their top destinations from Danville was to get to Reidsville and Greensboro. So that was just more icing on the cake for trying to justify the service and provide this additional connectivity.”
Evans emphasized the significance of the new service, stating, “Seems like Danville is becoming more of a hub. It’s growing a lot and probably growing faster than neighboring cities along the border. So, it just makes the most sense to connect to Danville and serve that community as well.”…
