City of Greensboro gets 7 proposals for former Regency Inn site

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – “This has been a long tedious process that has not gone well and so I am ready to see something go vertical,” said Greensboro Councilman Zack Mathey.

There have been ongoing frustrations over the former Regency Inn site along North O’Henry Boulevard. After years of back and forth, the city purchased the site and put out a request for proposals. Those are now in and Matheny says it’s time to get moving.

Seven development companies have submitted a proposal of how they plan to transform the space into affordable housing…
