It wasn’t pretty, but in the end it was a win for Duke – the team’s 13th in a row – after the Blue Devils built a double digit halftime lead, gave it all back, and then rallied to beat Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon in Winston Salem.
Leading 35-22 at halftime, it seemed as though the Blue Devils were well on their way toward another ACC blowout decision. However, the script flipped after intermission with the home team finding its offense while Duke missed 18 of 19 shots from the field that lead to a 23-4 game changing run.
Ultimately the Blue Devils would rally, making seven of their last nine field goal attempts while limiting the hosts in what was a 24-11 spurt over the final 7:30 of action…
