SATURDAY A chilly evening is underway after a pleasant Saturday in Winston-Salem. A second cold front swept through the Triad late Saturday to bring colder 30s for Sunday morning lows. SUNDAY A cool wedge builds into the Triad for Burlington, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro toward the mountains on Sunday. This means heavy clouds and cold low 30s in the morning that may feel like the 20s thanks to a brisk wind flow off the North Carolina coast. Afternoon high temperatures will depend on how much partial clearing develops by Sunday afternoon. Highs are forecast to run below normal in the low to mid-40s as a result of the clouds. MONDAY-TUESDAY Highs return to above normal as a ridge of high-pressure system spreads into the Carolinas bringing mostly sunny skies.
