Emergency crews rescue 2 in Kernersville after car crashes, rolls down embankment into ravine

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Two people are in the hospital in non-life-threatening condition after the car they were traveling in crashed and rolled down an embankment into a ravine near the Salisbury Street Bridge in Kernersville on Sunday.

According to Kernersville Fire & Rescue, units were alerted to the accident at 8:37 a.m. Sunday morning. The two occupants of the vehicle required extraction, and fire officials said they had to use their 100-foot tower ladder to extricate one of the victims from the ravine.
