MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A suspect connected to the death of a North Carolina woman who went missing for more than a year before her remains were found weeks ago was arrested in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Bryan David Griffin Jr., 37, was located at a hotel on S. Ocean Boulevard and taken into custody by Myrtle Beach police and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said. He was charged with concealment of a death and booked into the Myrtle Beach Detention Center where he awaits extradition.
In January 2024, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina requested the SBI’s assistance regarding Dana Leigh Mustian, who was last seen on Nov. 30, 2023, on Dorothy Drive in Warrenton, North Carolina. Mustian’s remains were found in a pond on Jan. 30 in Vance County.
