WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WBTV) – A high-ranking member of an international gang was arrested in a North Carolina city this week after more than a year on the run.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Josue Zepeda-Padilla was arrested on Wednesday, March 5 in a Winston-Salem neighborhood, less than two miles from the Wake Forest University campus. Zepeda-Padilla was reportedly undocumented.
Marshals said Zepeda-Padilla is part of the MS-13 gang. He’s believed to have been among a group that allegedly robbed, kidnapped, assaulted and left a 15-year-old unconscious in an abandoned New York building in January 2024…
