Cold front to move through Piedmont Triad over weekend

(WGHP) — Cloudy skies kept our temperatures on the cooler side Friday afternoon, and the clouds will linger for the majority of the evening. Temperatures fall into the 40s after 7 p.m., and we’ll gradually see clouds decrease as the night goes on.

We’ll wake up Saturday morning with temperatures in the low to mid 40s and sunny skies. A mix of sun and clouds for Saturday and a warm up is expected as well. Afternoon highs reach the upper 60s ahead of our next cold front that moves through by the afternoon. Thanks to the approaching front, it’ll be windy with northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph possible.

Thanks to Saturday’s cold front, we’ll wake up in the mid 30s Sunday morning and afternoon highs will be in the upper 50s, nearly 10 degrees cooler than Saturday. Skies will remain partly cloudy and winds will be much more relaxed to end the weekend…
