PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A strong cold front will be pushing through starting early Sunday from west to east.
Out ahead of the front we expect periods of heavy rain, possible hail, and a slight chance there could be damaging straight-line winds and even a chance for an isolated tornado caused by these very strong winds. Expect a low tonight around 58, with the winds gradually increasing as we get closer to sunrise.
It looks like our western and southwestern counties will be the first to see the storms as they gradually track to the east during the early morning and into the afternoon…
