Babysitter in North Carolina arrested for allegedly forcing toddler into scalding hot bath

A babysitter in North Carolina has been arrested after allegedly forcing a 1-year-old boy into a scalding hot bathtub that left him with burns so horrific he required skin grafts on his legs.

Authorities said that 40-year-old Amesha Johnson was taken into custody after being charged with one count of felony child abuse on Thursday in connection with the alleged incident.

Officers responded to a local children’s hospital regarding a “possible child abuse case” on the 1st of March, according to a news release from the High Point Police Department.
