WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — One person died Sunday night after a fire broke out at an apartment on Utah Drive in Winston-Salem.
According to the Winston-Salem Fire Department, they were dispatched to Utah Drive at 9:46 and arrived on scene in three minutes and 20 seconds. The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but firefighters confirmed one person died as a result of the blaze.
