Petitions filed against juvenile accused of taking photos of students in Greensboro Day School bathroom: Police

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Petitions have been filed to juvenile court against the former student accused of taking inappropriate photos of other students in a bathroom stall at Greensboro Day School, the Greensboro Police Department confirmed to WFMY News 2 on Tuesday.

On Friday, Greensboro Day School released a statement saying it was made aware of a situation involving a student taking pictures of other students in a bathroom stall on Tuesday and immediately contacted law enforcement and the families involved.

“At Greensboro Day School we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students. On Tuesday morning, March 18, we became aware that a student had photographed other students while they were in a bathroom stall. We immediately communicated with the families involved and reported the incident to law enforcement, who are currently investigating the matter. We feel it is important to be as transparent as possible with our community while protecting the privacy of these students. We will be using this to reinforce important conversations with our students about respecting boundaries and digital responsibility.”
