(PINPOINT WEATHER) — The final Friday of March was a warm one! High temperatures ended up near 80 degrees, and Saturday will feel much the same. It’ll be a warm weekend overall, but with the addition of more clouds and some needed rain on Sunday.
Saturday is mainly cloudy with some peeks of sunshine, but still mostly dry. The fire danger will remain elevated with the wind still breezy at times.
By late morning Sunday, showers are expected to begin in the mountains, with some heavier rain and storms blossoming all around the region in the afternoon and evening. Parts of the mountains could get some beneficial rain, up to an inch or more. But most of the Piedmont, Charlotte area and east toward Rockingham may only get up to a half-inch or so.
