GREENSBORO, N.C. — On Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m., two sections of South Elm Street will temporarily close until 8 a.m. on April 6 to ensure pedestrian safety and accommodate street-level programming. Activities will include live music, sidewalk sales, and art gallery visits.
The closures will affect:
- Lewis Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
- McGee Street to Washington Street
During this time, the Greensboro Transit Agency’s downtown Hopper Trolley will continue operating its regular schedule—Thursday through Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. Trolley stops within the closed sections will be relocated and marked with sidewalk signage.
The Hopper Trolley connects Elm Street north of downtown to State Street and Revolution Mill, and south of downtown to Carolyn Coleman Way and Union Square. More details on this service can be found here…
