Cloudy skies on Saturday morning will give way to partly sunny skies during the day. Saturday will be another very warm day with highs in the mid to upper 80s. The record high for Saturday is 87 degrees.
The cold front that has hammered the Mid-south with tornadoes, hail, damaging winds, and flooding will finally begin to move. Sunday morning will be cloudy in the Piedmont with lows in the upper 60s. Rain, with a few thunderstorms, will arrive on Sunday afternoon. At this time, the Piedmont is looking at a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms.
