Large quantity of fentanyl, stolen vehicle seized in Forsyth County drug bust

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A Forsyth County man is facing a slew of charges after detectives with the sheriff’s office’s Drug Task Force seized drugs, guns, money and a stolen car from a residence in Rural Hall on Tuesday.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Xavier Wayne Clewis Jr. has been charged with:

  • Felony trafficking fentanyl
  • Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II substance
  • Felony maintaining a dwelling for use, keeping or selling a controlled substance
  • Felony manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance
  • Felony possession of a stolen firearm
  • Felony possession of a firearm by a felon
  • Felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle

The following was seized by the drug task force after the search warrant was executed:

  • 1.7 pounds of fentanyl
  • 2 guns, including a stolen gun
  • Over $8,000 in US Currency
  • Stolen vehicle

Clewis Jr. is being held on a $100,000 secured bond. The 1.7 pounds of fentanyl is enough to kill over 385,000 people…
